Learning To Eat Less

Learning To Eat Less
By Mark Angelo Cummings

Many of today's diseases stem from how you treat your body. Your body runs just like a machine, you would not place diesel into a gas vehicle, nor would you put oil inside the gas tank. If you are to maintain a well-balanced neurological, endourological, and cardiological system just to name a few of the systems your body relies on, your body needs to be maintained optimally and this includes what you eat, how you exercise and how you handle stress.

In a stressful situation, such as an end of the world scenario, your body will be pushed to the limit, we would revert to our old flight or fight response making our bodies run on lots of cortisol and will require a vast of reactions that you may not be used to. First of all, you will need to learn how to breathe, hyperventilation tends to be a normal response during a fear response. Learning how to control your breathing and providing your body with nutrients that will help increase your oxygen level is imperative.

Many will not be so lucky as to have food readily available as we do now. So, learning how to fast is imperative and will be necessary for the upcoming Apocalyptic times. Start by eliminating one meal a day, just eating twice a day. First meal should be around 1 pm and the last meal should be around 6 pm, this is called intermittent fasting. Were you teach your body, to only eat at certain times a day, teaching it to take nutrients from your stored fat. This increase your growth hormone production which in turn will give you more energy, irradiate free radicals, and teach your body to be more efficient. Eventually, you can graduate to one meal a day, and fast the rest of the time. There are many great articles and research done on this practice, it helps you stay young, keeps you healthy and fit.

By teaching your body to utilize less food for energy, you are giving yourself a head start during the times that food may be scarce. Using breathing and sun gazing as another form of fuel will be a great practice to teach your body how to rely on other forms of energy when food supplies are low.  The sun provides lots of nutrients for plants, as does taking energy from the main source oxygen. Our ancestors did not always come across food, they learn how to survive when food was scarce. I believe that we will have to return to many of our old ways in the future, getting a head start will definitely make you a better candidate for survival.
